Built from robust steel construction and redesigned to ensure stability and durability even during your most intense training sessions.
KICKR CORE 2 comes pre-installed with an 11-speed cassette, but is compatible with 8- to 13-speed drivetrains* as well as Zwift Cog and Click — letting you train with the setup that matches your goals and gear—whether you prefer the tactile feel of mechanical shifting or the clean simplicity of wireless.
*KICKR CORE is compatible with 8-to 13-speed drivetrains. Shimano HG out of the box and SRAM XD/XDR or Campagnolo with replaceable freehub bodies (not compatible with Shimano Micro Spline). The Wahoo KICKR CORE 2 is a streamlined, rider-friendly improvement over the original KICKR CORE. Built-in Wi-Fi ensures faster, more reliable connections and automatic updates, while Race Mode delivers unmatched responsiveness during sprints and climbs. KICKR Bridge simplifies sensor pairing by streaming all device data through one connection, ideal for Apple TV users. Redesigned, color-coded legs make setup easier and more stable, and new multi-color LEDs provide instant status feedback.
Race Mode boosts responsiveness by increasing the trainer’s power broadcast rate from 1 Hz to up to 10 Hz. Instead of sending averaged power once per second, it updates with every flywheel revolution, capturing small wattage peaks during high-speed sprints or attacks. The result is more precise pacing, drafting, and timing of accelerations in competitive scenarios. Available only with Wi-Fi, Race Mode brings a premium racing advantage to CORE 2, making virtual competition more accessible and accurate.
Designed for versatility, the CORE 2 works with most road, gravel, and mountain bikes, ensuring seamless integration into diverse setups. Out of the box, it supports Shimano HG freehubs for 8–12 speed cassettes, with optional freehub bodies for SRAM XD/XDR or Campagnolo (excluding Shimano Micro Spline and Campagnolo N3W 13-speed). It comes in three configurations: with an 11-speed cassette, with Zwift Cog and Click for virtual shifting, or cassette-ready. Hub support includes 130/135mm quick release and 12x142/148mm thru-axles.
The Wahoo KICKR CORE 2 is offered in three purchase options to suit different rider needs. Choose the 11-speed cassette version for a traditional mechanical setup, compatible even with 12-speed chains. Opt for the Zwift Cog and Click version to unlock virtual shifting, ideal if you ride multiple bikes with different drivetrains or want simplified gear changes for Zwift. A cassette-ready version is also available if you prefer to install your own. All options include the necessary adapters for quick release and thru-axle hubs.
