New KICKR SNAP Bike Trainer is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 158.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid! Love it! I purchased my KICKR SNAP a few months ago and this trainer is impressive. It's high quality especially compared to the CycleOps Magnus (which I also have). I purchased the Magnus last winter primarily because I knew the CycleOps name but not Wahoo. *The SNAP looks and feels much more substantial, while the Magnus "feels" and looks cheap especially the resistance unit and the thin plastic that attaches it to the trainer frame. *The latching mechanism (that your rear axle attaches to the trainer) is much nicer on the SNAP, it simply feels solid and moves smoothly, the Magnus uses an inexpensive lever =P *There's more to say but I'm going to ride =) You can not go wrong with the Wahoo KICKR SNAP.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kickr Snap Ive had this trainer for 2 weeks and have already put several hours on it. Pair with zwift this has truly made my indoor riding experience 100 times better. So much better that im not even going to bother riding in the cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect addition to my training I hate writing reviews! I bought this to cope with my new work schedule that interferes with my riding. Very happy with the trainer. It works great easy to update firmware and connects every time. I’m no pro so the “limitations“ of this unit will probably never be an isssue for me. People talk about tire wear with wheel on trainers, which makes no sense to me as a smooth trainer roller vs. rough tarmac? Really!?! If you torn between this and the the wheel off and the $600 differance is an issue just buy the Snap. You won’t be disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible. Vibrations from 20km+ After using a few times found vibrations at 20km/h+. Found the roller was so out of alignment, returned the product, but took 2 weeks for it to be confirmed as faulty. Product is sturdy, but considering the web is full of these issues Wahoo should improve their QA. Software also not good, the BLE connection only works for Power on most apps except for Wahoo's own. You would need an Ant+ dongle for 3rd party apps (so more expense). In summary, save your money and buy a Tackx Flux wheel on trainer, or buy a very cheap roller trainer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Smart Trainer! I've read many reviews of this product from many differing viewpoints but I am happy to report that I have only great things to say about my experience with my Kickr Snap. I have had the Snap for a month and have ridden enough (500+ miles) to have a good baseline for what it does well and what it does not so well. The super big flywheel is excellent for a fairly realistic (and painful like pain cave painful) experience. The roller is surprisingly easy on tires and doesn't chew them up. The frame is heavy and rock solid even in an all out sprint. What surprised me the most was the noise level - quiet enough to ride while kids sleep upstairs. Pairing with Zwift is super easy with Bluetooth but I find it a challenge with ANT+ even with a USB extension cable so I've resorted to using my iPad instead of the laptop which is really a better setup anyway. Bottom line - I'm pleased with my purchase and am very happy with the Zwift experience other than a flaky ANT+ signal.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Constantly drops power recording. Since day1 this trainer has had issues with connectivity and constantly drops power in the middle of rides/workouts. Very frustrating, I have tried all recommended remedies to no avail. Shame other than that, which is huge, it is a very smooth trainer.
Date published: 2017-11-02
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Suffers from vibration at high speed I enjoyed using the trainer most of the time but there is too much vibration at high speed, for example going downhill in Zwift and even when using the planned Elemnt Sky workouts. It was so uncomfortable in my feet that I would have to stop pedalling. Wahoo customer service refused to acknowledge this as a fault and told me not to use it in that mode! Fortunately Wiggle was more understanding and it was returned for a refund.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great trainer with a known issue The stability and power accuracy is excellent with this trainer. It is a solid, heavy trainer that doesn't budge under sprints, climbing, or wrenching of the handlebars. It is also reasonably quiet. The only issue I have found is the roller ---it has a noticeable periodic wobble as it spins in the vertical dimension. At high power outputs or increased speeds, it starts to vibrate and make a rumbling sound , especially if the floor is hardwood on a second level. I am not sure if this affects power accuracy or speed measurement but other online forums mention this problem as well. At this level Wahoo should address this issue. It does not affect my workouts so I will likely keep it but QC needs to follow up with this lack of tolerance. Lastly, I wish Wahoo would ship product without needing a signature because I ended missing delivery and my credit card charged for almost a month until everything was cleaned up.
