SPEEDPLAY COMP
Clip In. Dial In. Ride.
$129.99
The only SPEEDPLAY that includes Easy Tension cleats — the easiest entry point to the platform for riders new to clipless pedals or switching from other systems.
A chromoly-spindled, dual-sided pedal with 0–15° of adjustable float, 3-axis cleat positioning, 11.5mm stack height, and walkable cleats. Triple sealed cartridge and needle bearings require zero maintenance.
What Makes the COMP Different
The COMP is the only SPEEDPLAY that includes Easy Tension cleats. They use a lighter spring than Standard Tension cleats, so clipping in and out takes less force while float, adjustability, and engagement feel remain identical. Dual-sided entry, 11.5mm stack, 0–15° float, walkable cleat covers, and triple sealed bearings are shared with the full lineup — moving up later means swapping pedals, not refitting your shoes.
Easy Tension Cleats: Designed for Ease of Clip-In
Lighter spring than Standard Tension. Less force to clip in and out, same 0–15° adjustable float. Riders who want a firmer hold can swap to Standard Tension without changing pedals.
Dual-Sided Entry on Every Pedal Stroke
The symmetrical body lets you clip in from either side instantly. No orienting, no kicking the pedal over — at traffic lights, on group rides, at race starts.
11.5mm Stack Height
More direct power transfer, less foot tilt around the axle, marginally more cornering clearance. Drops to 8.5mm with a 4-hole SPEEDPLAY-compatible shoe.
0–15° Micro-Adjustable Float
Two screws on each cleat set inward and outward heel movement independently. Unique to SPEEDPLAY — riders can fine-tune float in small increments rather than choosing between fixed positions.
Walkable Cleats With Integrated Covers
Rubber covers stay on while riding and provide traction when you walk. Built into the system — no bolt-on accessory, protects the cleat mechanism from dirt and wear.
Sealed Bearings, Zero Maintenance
Triple sealed cartridge and needle bearings require no greasing, no service intervals, no special tools. Install with an 8mm Allen key and ride.
SPEEDPLAY ZERO
The Pedal That Fits Every Rider.
$214.99
The only SPEEDPLAY available in four spindle lengths — 53, 56, 59, and 65mm — so bike fitters and riders can dial in stance width without changing pedal systems.
A stainless steel spindle handles rain, sweat, and year-round riding without surface oxidation. At 222g per pair, lighter than the COMP while being more durable. Includes Standard Tension cleats for a firm, race-ready connection out of the box.
What Makes the ZERO Different
The ZERO is the only SPEEDPLAY available in four spindle lengths (53, 56, 59, and 65mm), making it the go-to for riders with wide hips, knee tracking issues, or anyone following a professional bike fit. Stainless steel resists rust and salt. Fore-aft (13mm), left-right (8mm), and rotational float (0–15°) are all independently adjustable per cleat, so asymmetric biomechanics can be tuned without compromise.
Four Spindle Lengths for Stance Width Control
Available in 53, 56, 59, and 65mm Q-factor options. Match pedal position to your biomechanics without shimming, spacers, or workarounds. No other SPEEDPLAY model offers this.
Stainless Steel Spindle: Built for Corrosion Resistance
Handles rain, sweat, salt, and year-round commuting without surface rust. The practical reason to step up from the COMP for wet climates and winter riders.
3-Axis Cleat Adjustability With Independent Float
Fore-aft (13mm), left-right (8mm), and rotational float (0–15°) all independently adjustable. Inward and outward heel movement can be set to different values on each cleat.
11.5mm Stack for Direct Power Connection
Every watt through the shortest path from shoe to spindle. 11.5mm with standard road shoes, 8.5mm with 4-hole SPEEDPLAY-compatible shoes — among the lowest stack heights on any road pedal.
Standard Tension Cleats for a Race-Ready Feel
Firm, positive engagement — secure under hard sprinting and out-of-saddle efforts. Riders who want lighter engagement can swap to Easy Tension without modification.
39 Degrees of Cornering Clearance
The slim profile lets the bike lean further before the pedal contacts the ground. 39° exceeds most competitors and gives criterium racers confidence in tight, high-speed turns.
SPEEDPLAY NANO
The Lightest Road Pedal. Period.
$499.99
At 168g per pair, the lightest production road pedal on the market — titanium and carbon composite for riders under 82kg (180lb) who need every gram advantage.
Titanium spindles and a carbon composite body cut 54g compared to the ZERO without sacrificing the full SPEEDPLAY feature set. Built for climbers and weight-conscious racers. Strict 82kg maximum rider weight — a material limit, not a suggestion.
What Makes the NANO Different
At 84g per pedal, the NANO is 54g lighter per pair than the ZERO and 64g lighter than the COMP. The titanium axle is lighter than stainless and stronger per gram than chromoly; the carbon composite body replaces Grivory found on every other model. Float, stack, and cleat adjustability are identical to the ZERO. The only functional differences: 53mm single spindle length, 6mm Allen key installation, and the 82kg (180lb) rider weight limit.
168g Per Pair: The Weight Advantage Is Real
54g lighter than the ZERO, 64g lighter than the COMP. On a mountain stage or hill climb TT, that savings compounds across every acceleration.
Titanium Spindle and Carbon Composite Body
Lighter than stainless steel, stronger per gram than chromoly. Carbon composite replaces Grivory — unique to the NANO. Sealed bearings are identical to the rest of the lineup.
82kg / 180lb Maximum Rider Weight
A hard limit, not a suggestion. The carbon composite body is engineered to a specific load threshold. Riders above 82kg should use the ZERO — same feature set, no weight restriction.
Full SPEEDPLAY Feature Set at Race Weight
0–15° adjustable float. 11.5mm stack (8.5mm with 4-hole shoes). 13mm fore-aft, 8mm left-right cleat range. 39° cornering clearance. Only concessions: 53mm spindle only and the rider weight limit.
6mm Allen Key Installation
Uses a 6mm hex wrench rather than the 8mm used on all other SPEEDPLAY models. Confirm your toolkit includes a 6mm before race day.
Same Cleat Interface as the Full Lineup
Standard Tension and Easy Tension cleats work on every current SPEEDPLAY pedal. Train on the NANO, race on the NANO — or swap to the ZERO if you exceed the weight limit. No shoe refit required.
SPEEDPLAY AERO
Aero First. Everything Else Second.
$299.99
The only SPEEDPLAY pedal with an aerodynamic dimpled underside — sacrificing dual-sided entry for measurable drag reduction in time trials and triathlons.
Purpose-built for TT and triathlon. Wahoo CFD testing claims a 22-second advantage over 40km at 40km/h versus a standard road pedal. Dan Bigham used the AERO when breaking the British hour record.
What Makes the AERO Different
The underside features a streamlined, dimpled surface that integrates with the cleat surround to form a low-drag profile — meaning this pedal only clips in from one side. In a TT or triathlon you clip in once and stay clipped in; the aero benefit over 40km outweighs seconds lost to single-sided entry. Uses the same stainless steel spindle and Grivory body as the ZERO, adding just 2g. Identical cleat interface — your cleat position and shoe setup transfer directly from any other SPEEDPLAY.
Dimpled Aero Underside: Single-Sided by Design
A streamlined, dimpled underside integrates with the cleat surround to form a low-drag profile. Clip in once, stay clipped, and the aero benefit compounds over TT or triathlon distance.
Single-Sided Entry: Know the Trade-Off
Every other SPEEDPLAY is dual-sided. The AERO is not. Optimized for sustained speed, not versatility. Use it for events where aero matters; a ZERO or COMP for everything else.
Stainless Steel Spindle at 224g Per Pair
Same stainless steel spindle and Grivory body as the ZERO, plus the aero plate. Adds just 2g per pair over the ZERO. No rider weight restriction.
11.5mm Stack Compounds the Aero Advantage
Low stack reduces frontal area by placing the foot closer to the pedal axis. Combined with the dimpled underside, the AERO offers two layers of drag reduction in a single pedal.
37° Cornering Clearance
The aero plate slightly reduces cornering clearance to 37° vs 39° on all other models. Rarely relevant for TT and triathlon courses — worth noting for road racing with tight corners.
Same Cleat, Same Shoes, Same Fit
Identical SPEEDPLAY cleat system as every other model. Race TTs on the AERO, train on the ZERO — cleat position, float settings, and shoe setup transfer directly. No refitting required.
SPEEDPLAY POWER Single-Sided
Power Data Without Rebuilding Your Setup.
$599.99
The most affordable way to add power measurement to the SPEEDPLAY platform — left-side sensing estimates total power without requiring dual-sided investment.
Left pedal contains the power sensor, gyroscope, and rechargeable battery. Power is measured on the left and doubled to estimate total output. ANT+ and Bluetooth broadcasting. 75-hour battery life via magnetic USB-C adapter.
What Makes the POWER Single-Sided Different
The left pedal measures left-leg power and doubles it to report estimated total power — accurate enough for pacing, zone training, and performance tracking. For riders with significant L/R imbalance, step up to the Dual-Sided. Dual-sided clip-in is preserved on both pedals since electronics live in the spindle. Stack height rises to 13mm and Q-factor widens to 55mm — check saddle height when switching from standard SPEEDPLAY.
Left-Side Power, Doubled for Total Estimate
Measures left leg power and doubles it. Accurate enough for pacing and zone training. Riders with significant L/R imbalance will see less precise totals — if balance data matters, choose the Dual-Sided.
±1% Accuracy, Lab Tested
Active temperature compensation adjusts for environmental changes during your ride. Auto-zero calibration runs continuously, keeping readings consistent from first pedal stroke to last.
75-Hour Rechargeable Battery
Charges via magnetic snap-on USB-C adapter. No coin cells, no battery doors. At 75 hours, you can ride 5 hours a day for 15 days before needing a charge.
Dual-Sided Entry Preserved
Electronics are integrated into the spindle, not the pedal body. Both the power (left) and standard (right) pedals retain dual-sided clip-in — identical engagement to a standard SPEEDPLAY Zero.
13mm Stack, 55mm Q-Factor: Know the Differences
Power electronics add 1.5mm stack (13mm vs 11.5mm) and widen Q-factor by 2mm (55mm vs 53mm). Left-right cleat adjustment reduced to 6mm. Check saddle height when switching from standard SPEEDPLAY.
ANT+ and Bluetooth Dual Broadcasting
Broadcasts simultaneously to unlimited ANT+ devices and up to three Bluetooth connections. Pair with an ELEMNT head unit, Zwift on your phone, and a training app all at once.
SPEEDPLAY POWER Dual-Sided
True Left/Right Power. No Estimation.
$849.99
The only SPEEDPLAY pedal with true dual-sided, independent power measurement and left/right balance data — eliminating the need for a crank-based or hub-based power meter.
Both pedals contain independent power sensors delivering true L/R power without doubling or estimation. Lab-tested ±1% accuracy, active temperature compensation, 75-hour battery life per pedal, full Wahoo ecosystem integration.
What Makes the POWER Dual-Sided Different
Each pedal contains its own strain gauge and reports power independently. Total, left, right, and L/R balance are all measured directly — not estimated. Active temperature compensation, continuous auto-zero, and independent lab-confirmed ±1% accuracy. Each pedal charges via magnetic USB-C and holds 75 hours. ANT+ to unlimited devices plus Bluetooth to three concurrent connections simultaneously.
True Left/Right Independent Power Measurement
Each pedal has its own strain gauge. Total, left, right, and L/R balance are all measured directly. Matters for riders rehabbing injury, correcting asymmetry, or structuring intervals by leg contribution.
±1% Accuracy Across Both Pedals
Both sensors individually calibrated to within 1%. Active temperature compensation plus continuous auto-zero — consistent power data from warm-up through finish line.
Left/Right Balance: Data That Changes Training
A 55/45 imbalance during threshold tells you which leg fatigues first. Post-ride analysis on ELEMNT, TrainingPeaks, or Strava breaks this down by interval, lap, or entire ride.
75-Hour Battery on Both Pedals
Each pedal charges independently via magnetic snap-on USB-C (two adapters included). 75 hours per charge — every two to three weeks for most riders. No coin cells, no battery doors.
13mm Stack Height and 55mm Q-Factor
Power electronics raise stack to 13mm and widen Q-factor to 55mm. Left-right cleat adjustment is 6mm. Applies to both Power models — adjust saddle height when switching from standard SPEEDPLAY.
Wahoo Ecosystem Integration
Pair with ELEMNT BOLT, ROAM, or ACE for real-time power display. Broadcast to Zwift, TrainerRoad, or any ANT+/Bluetooth app simultaneously. Wahoo app handles firmware, calibration, and configuration.
