1New KICKR Power Trainer is rated out of 5 by 165.Rated 5 out of 5 by randumtasx from Could not be happier Took the plunge and splurged on an upgrade from the Kurt Kinetic road machine smart to the New Kickr. The thought of paying for a trainer at this price (or even the KK price) was one of those things I thought I'd never do. Fast forward, after 3 days of usage this is worth every penny. 2 rides on Zwift/TR I knew it was worth it. A true workout that left me exhausted compared to the KK which just didnt give that extra level of push. As far as sound, I live in a 1br apt and the New version seems to be as quiet (maybe a touch louder if anything) than the KK which has not been an issue. Plenty quiet enough to watch a movie at the same time. Excellent product!Date published: 2016-09-28Rated 5 out of 5 by MountainGoat from Make the most of your ride time I am so happy I bought this product! I used to dread riding the trainer in the winter months. With the KICKR, I train on it no matter what time of year it is! As a working athlete, I found that the KICKR is the best way to get in a focused, quality workout when I am pressed on time. Set up was very easy. Just plug it in, lock your bike in, and you're good to go. Because you don't need a rear wheel, you won't be wearing out tires which is a plus! I either use the Wahoo Fitness app on my phone or pair it with my ELEMNT (another great product from Wahoo!). The feel when riding the KICKR is very smooth and the noise is pretty quiet compared to most trainers. My favorite feature is the Erg Mode setting. It's great for dialing in the power during intervals and I've found it really helps me work on keeping the cadence high. If you're shopping for a new trainer, I'd definitely recommend the KICKR!Date published: 2016-09-26Rated 4 out of 5 by brado from So far, very good. I've only just received mine. Initial impressions: very well made (solid). Easy to set up, louder than expected. Configuration with Trainer Road was super easy. I really like the way it smoothly ramps the resistance up and down rather than a sudden jump. The one nitpick I'll make in setting it up: Cassette alignment took some work. While it was pretty easy to put the bike on the trainer, string the chain, etc. I spent a good 1/2 hr dialing in my back derailleur to align properly. It was really pretty far off - lots of clicking in the gearing. I was a little surprised as I have several wheel sets for my bike that never required any tweaking of the back derailleur. I suspect when I go back to the wheels I'll have to undo the tweak. Not awful, but seems like the alignment should have been much closer. The one other thing one always finds disappointing is buying something only to have the next version announced right after the purchase. Wahoo announced the next version which is much quieter, supposedly, 1 week after mine arrived.Date published: 2016-09-13Rated 5 out of 5 by rosvit from Best trainer for Zwift II have bought this trainer for indoor cycling training, mostly during the winter and rainy days. I use Kickr together with Zwift and it's really great combination. I can recommend this setup for everyone who wants to keep (or even improve) the fitness level during the winter.Date published: 2016-09-10Rated 5 out of 5 by oatmealagainst from A+ Great Company Can't beat this company's suppport and responsiveness.Date published: 2016-09-08Rated 5 out of 5 by Smushy_legs from Old version, still amazing. This is my second KICKR. Yes, second. My wife and I loved our first so much that we could not stand to share any longer. Now we can ride together! This thing is quiet (well, as far as trainers go) smooth and the transition between wattages is flawless. Best used with the Wahoo ELEMNT! Buy and enjoy my friends!Date published: 2016-09-05Rated 4 out of 5 by rgurney from Don't be the first or the last............. Don't be the first or the last to buy something. I purchased the 'old' Kickr several weeks ago. The new Kickr just came out and with the discount is the same price as what I paid for mine. The 'kickr' in the teeth is that the old model can't be upgraded to the new one.Date published: 2016-09-01Rated 5 out of 5 by s00pery00per from Better than expected Ease of Use: Attached my bike, plugged the unit in, and connected to my phone. No issues at all, extremely easy. Features: The ability to run as-is in a few different modes is very nice. I've been using in conjunction with TrainerRoad - the similarity to on-road feel is fantastic. This is finally a trainer that can easily push my limits and make me a better cyclist when I can't get out on the road! Value of Product: You get what you pay for with this one. It is worth it 120%. Quality of Product: Every aspect feels high quality. All moving parts are tight and accurate. Bike does not wobble at all due to sturdy construction and adjustable feet. Data out of the power meter seems to be spot on (I don't have one on my bike.) If you're looking to get in some serious winter training at home (that's my goal) this trainer is what you need.Date published: 2016-08-29
