Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adds that extra layer of training The Kickr bike trainer alone can certainly simulate hill climbs really well but, adding the Climb turned it up a notch. I like that I can manually control the incline as well. Some of those hills in Zwift are INSANE for me right now. It’s nice to be able to dial it back a bit. Loving my Climb.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes riding indoors even more fun! I have had the Kickr Climb about 1 month now. As many have asked and shared, "Do you really need this product?" The answer is "no" but it definitely enhances the experience of riding with your online cycling games/programs. While riding, you sometimes can see that there is a change in gradient coming up. It is obviously more noticeable on definitely climbs. But on undulating terrain, the Climb helps me to better judge when there is a change in gradient, so I can adjust gears smoothly and maintain cadence. This is because I can feel in my handlebars that I am changing my position (as the bike moves up or down) as it relates to "flat" versus a grade. The Climb was very easy to finish installing and then pairing to my Kickr. As others have said, just make sure you take the Climb out of "locked" mode, and it will react perfectly to the changes in the landscape as you ride. Pricing might be a tad high, but I try not to focus on that. I am definitely having a blast using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply amazing Ok, so if you live in a flat area or just short hills or bridges like me(Florida) and you love climbing then this is it. Get Wahoo trainer, climb and Zwift and that is all you need. It’s simply amazing. There is nothing else out there except real mountains.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome addition! I have had the Kickr Climb for a couple of months and it's a great addition to my indoor training regime. I use it with Zwift and it responds immediately to changes in gradient making the rides more realistic. One thing to note if your using your climb with Zwift, if your trainer difficulty is not set at Max (100%), you will need to divide your wheel base by the difficulty setting (i.e. wheel base is 1011mm and trainer difficulty is 50%, 1011/ .50 = 2,022 )and input that number (2,022) in your Kickr Sensor in the Wahoo Fitness App. Once you've made this adjustment, the Climb responses to gradient changes will be immediate and accurate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth and realistic I’ve been using the Climb for 2 weeks with the kickr and zwift. Transitions are smooth and the gradient changes allow for realistic engagement of other muscles and riding positions during training. In the past I’ve had soreness in my knee while riding my trainer which does not occur out on the road. This has not been an issue since training with the climb.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unexpected awesome I bought to break up the hours in zwift as the winter approaches and I move inside. It is responsive, and smooth. Really added another layer to break the boredom. Also helps with positional changes, preventing the numb fingers from one position. Was running without looking at the instructions in a few minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the wait 1st ride with the Climb this morning on Zwift. It was a long wait from the initial announcement at Eurobike last year, but as the old saying goes, better that something is correct than on time. It’s simply awesome. Makes indoor riding more immersive and fun. Also, found myself changing positions in the saddle more often which reduced fatigue on the upper body. Unit is a beast - very stable but also enough play in the front compared to my old riser block. Indispensable for my hillclimb training. A great addition to the pain cave.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally Awesome!!! I took delivery of the Climb three weeks ago. Since then I have used it with the Kickr several times. The Wahoo Kickr by itself has always been always been the best trainer I've ever owned. Add the Climb to it, and it is beyond awesome! It is totally realistic and adds that extra dimension of elevated bike positions to climbs, never before achieved by anyone. And it works flawlessly with Apps - I use it with Rouvy and Zwift. An amazing engineering feat - congratulations and thanks Wahoo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent add on I have about two weeks worth of time on my climb. It is not as much of a game-changer as a smart trainer is, not by any stretch of the imagination. The smart trainer and something like Zwift really changed training. The Climb is NOT a necessity. But, it does add a brand new dynamic to the virtual rides. You can stand on climbs and actually feel right. I could never get used to high torqur, low cadence standing when the bike was flat. Now that it is lifted, standing feel totally natural and accurate. I use the manual mode to vary the pressure on my saddle from time to time when in workout mode as well. I did have some initial setup issues, but they were not failures of the equipment, it was my process. You must pair and enable everything via bluetooth, and then update and spindown everything BEFORE even connecting an ANT+ receiver, or attempting to pair to anything else. Only the Wahoo Fitness utility should be paired with. Go through everything, then connect as you normally would. Great product. Solid, stable, and responsive. Not cheap, but hey, nothing good ever is. I would recommend it, but just don't expect it to be something that will be a total training game changer. Zwift and the Kickr (smart traine) did that. This is just a nice realism accessory!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is game changer!!! I have had my Kickr Climb for a few days now and I think it is a great product. While riding it on Zwift it is a game changer in every aspect. Now climbing feels more like climbing instead of just greater resistance on the trainer. My one caveat. To really get a great experience you need to have the trainer difficulty at 75% or higher. I realized after my first few rides that the Zwift trainer difficulty setting was affecting what the pitch that the Climb was going to. In other words, if set to the default 50% then when you come to a 6% grade it will raise the front of the bike up to a 3% grade. At first, I was not really sure that the unit was moving that much. When I set it to about 75-80% then things got interesting and much much more engaging and realistic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not needed, but can't live without So do you remember the first time you rode on a smart trainer and you hit your first hill? The trainer did its thing and you were like "WOW, this is awesome!" Most of the suck of indoor training went away as your trainer made sure the climbs and sprints really hurt! Well the CLIMB does just that -- it is another opportunity to take more of the suck out of indoor riding! It takes it all up a notch by enhancing the feel, as now you are using your muscles in exactly the same way you do outside when climbing. You engage different parts of your legs and upper body as your bike pitches up. Climbing out of the saddle is so much better in terms of balance and power since you are now truly in a climbing position! Smooth and responsive, no issue with noise when riding. Simple easy set up. Do you need this? No -- you don't need it, BUT once you have it you won't ride indoors without one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for long KICKR rides The KICKR CLIMB does what it should. Fluid grade adjustments have made longer trainer rides more enjoyable. The change in incline goes along way to break up those long sessions. I had found that longer rides became uncomfortable, but the simulated grade helps to break that up. When riding in your favorite app, the KICKR adjusts fairly quickly to the grade making it much more realistic. I enjoy using the first person view in my favorite app along with the CLIMB for a more realistic, 'outdoorish' experience. The CLIMB is helping me to address my climbing weakness, and I am looking forward to the improvement it is helping me achieve for next season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this product! I bought this a month ago and I am truly satisfied with this product. I live in West Texas where it’s so flat so I need all the help I can get to prepare for hill work. Satisfied customer here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent addition to Kickr trainer Works great with Zwift, makes the ride even more fun and realistic. I also noticed that the gradient change reduces the fatigue that normally sets in for me when using a trainer in the same position for a long time. Worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big leap for indoor bike training The major selling point is the grade simulator - and that works great. But the feel of the KICKR CLIMB makes riding closer to real road feel. It's stable and allows for real out of the saddle feel even on steep grades and under high power output.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Heights of Indoor Training Realism Just finished my first ride on KICKR Climb. Pretty surreal experience. It's obvious a lot of thought, hard work and passion went into the design. Setup was quick and easy - just remember to switch it to unlocked mode so the grade can be controlled by apps like Zwift. Good build quality, very stable and pretty quiet - couldn't really discern any noise. I felt subtle vibrations when the grade changed but that may have more to do with my handlebars than the Climb. The change in grade is nearly instantaneous - not quite perfect but pretty darn close. The real question on most everyone's mind is likely, "is it worth it?" When given a choice, I'd always choose to ride outdoors. But weather, work schedule and a nasty collarbone break into 8 pieces didn't always give me that choice. KICKR Climb adds a level of realism to indoor training that is unmatched.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun addition to the indoor tools This is great with the simulation apps like Zwift. I was having issues but finally think I have the right order of sensor detection to allow everything to work with Zwift every time. Basically, I make sure the RPM sensor is the last to register. I also find the Climb nice to just make getting out of the saddle more comfortable on fixed training to give the butt a break.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just plain cool..... Straightforward set up. Have only ridden one time (still riding outside) but can say I like it. It is a subtle effect when moving up a % or two. But with a 8% or more grade it feels very realistic and natural to get out of saddle. On Zwift Innsbruck there are a couple of sections that go from flat to down 12%, when the bike pitches down, it really grabs your attention . Also Appreciate the slight change in muscle recruitment and saddle position that this encourages. Bottom line it’s a keeper and I’m looking forward to a full winter with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Remotivating the indoor ride I've got about 4000miles on my Kickr in Zwift this year and am having trouble staying motivated. I decided to try the Climb as a toy based upon DC Rainmaker's and GP Llama's reviews. I figured this would help me have some fun, stay motivated on the indoor rides, and help prep the hill climbing for an event in August. So, I ordered one when they first went on sale. FREE Shipping! Oh, you live in Hawaii? $85 shipping. After a week and half, it gets here and the power brick is dead. Kevin T got them to send me one via 2 day shipping. So now if finally works. The shipping and dead brick cost them a star. Ok, so riding the thing. At 200 lbs (90kg), the response and feel is pretty amazing. Putting all those miles in Watopia had had gotten me used to the resistance change in the hills, now the incline changes and gives it a whole new feel. The Esses segment was really trippy with the matching incline and resistance changes. Going up Alp De Zwft is much more realistic (particularly around the hairpins) and I can feel it in my legs and pedal stroke. Getting out of the saddle over the handlebars is much more natural now. Going down had me pulling the brakes a couple of times. It just made the rides much more natural feeling. All in all, it works. The response is not instantaneous, but given the signal has to go from computer to Kickr to Climb to mechanical drive, it is close enough at my speeds to be believable. Do you need it? No. Will I miss it if I don't have it? You bet. Was it worth the money? As much as any bike gear is. All in all, it helped to re-motivate me for the indoor rides. Two things that do bug me: I have to remember to unlock it every time and there isn't a way in Zwift to set up incline workouts. Maybe, I'll just put tape markers on it and manual adjust.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I'm sure it is awesome, but... There needs to be a bigger warning that this only works with then new Kickr from late 2017 and 2018. Ordered min for my Kickr and found it isn't compatible. Too bad there isn't a retrofit. Now I have to buy a new Kickr to use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy set up and realistic feel Bought this a month ago and have so far logged about 300 miles on it. Super easy to set up through the Wahoo app. Realistic feel on gradient changes and give a true virtual experience to the Zwift experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Than Expected I bought the unit to use with Zwift and “expected” a few issues. To my surprise, the unit far exceeded my expectations. What a blast! You have made my trainer “Fun”.
