Q: What makes you a Wahooligan?
I love my ELEMNT BOLT and can't ride without it. Some days I love the KICKR, sometimes I hate it: it's my toughest training taskmaster.
Q: What do you consider your greatest accomplishment?
The invention of "pocket porridge". It will revolutionise both training fuel and breakfast: portable porridge in delicious cake form! The birchermuesli muffin is my personal favourite.
Q: Do you have any race day rituals?
Coffee and tea for breakfast. And coffee after the race if I have to provide an antidoping sample!
Q: What are three training tip you would recommend to athletes?
1. Make training fun.
2. Train with other people sometimes - if they're faster than you, that's a bonus.
3. Coffee stops.
Q: What inspires and what motivates you to keep pushing and striving for personal greatness?
I just want to be the best I can, and I genuinely enjoy the hard training. I don't seem to be able to judge very well when I will "peak" in the season - so whenever a race goes well, it makes me happy :-)
