1KICKR Trainer Indoor Cycling Pain Cave Bundle is rated out of 5 by 17.Rated 5 out of 5 by Sky guy from Quiet operator The pain cave bundle is the way to go. The new Kickr is smooth and accurate. There was a small learning curve to swap my 11 speed cassette out for my son's 9 speed (Side note : I can't get him off Zwift. I have to tell him when it's dad's turn!) Our local shop had me trained in cassette removal in minutes. Basically, if you can twist the lid off a peanut butter jar....you get my point. Most important for me with hearing impairment is it's quiet enough to hold a conversation. Far quieter than my 2 other spin trainers. The Wahoo fitness desk is clever. Adjustable height, no slip surface and slots to hold tablets or cell phones at just the right angle. Lastly, the floor matt is attractive and functional.Date published: 2016-11-27Rated 5 out of 5 by JoeO33 from Amazing! My wife and I purchased two of these. New to the smart trainer market, I expected great things. The KICKR really delivers a great work out and works well with Zwift. Hopefully it holds up great and doesn't require a ton of maintenance . Desk and mat are nice as well.Date published: 2016-11-18Rated 5 out of 5 by garalulu from Votre nouveau meilleur copain pour vos séances J'ai acheté ce bundle après plusieurs recherches sur inernet. Purchased it a few weeks ago and returned it. I run a Mac. IOS. Downloaded a couple of the apps WHICH support IOS but couldn't get Bluetooth to work properly. I kept losing the connection nor would it add resistance or measure cadence properly when properly connected. It became very frustrating. If you're running a Windows based PC you're in good shape. A gaming PC, & you're golden. I wasn't willing to make any further investment, so I went a different route. This is a well made machine, with great customer support. If I had a windows based PC I'd probably still have the product.Date published: 2016-10-19Rated 5 out of 5 by Mark B from Amazing piece of kit I bought this product based upon reviews i came across online, the reviews were very positive. I am pleased to say i have the right decision purchasing this kit. This is an amazing piece of kit, the life like feel to road use is amazing and the telemetry data is great. Indoor training will never be the same, especially when paired up with Zwift.Date published: 2016-08-22Rated 5 out of 5 by Donna B from Excellent training I really dislike indoor training. It simply takes the joy out of riding. I have owned two other trainers and used each maybe once. I bought the KICKR with the intent to improve my ability to sustain power on flats and to be able to do some drills including single legged pedaling, VO2 max efforts, and steady states. After using it primarily for a week, I have already noted improvements. I have to say I don't love indoor training but this machine has really been helpful. My overall power numbers are better and I have improved my pedal efficiency. Can't wait to see what a moth of ownership does. Although I will be spending most of my time outdoors it will be good to use 1-2 times weekly.Date published: 2016-08-13Rated 5 out of 5 by Psalmon from Best late than never I purchased my Wahoo Kickr (with mat and desk) in January for this cycling and triathlon season. I live in the North so cold winters and road training is uncomfortable before late March. I trained hard with this Feb-Apr. Waited for some results before writing this review, so here they are...Raised my FTP by 50 W, Lost 25 pounds from a fairly in-shape start point (weigh what I did now 25 years ago and have had to buy new clothes too), Won my AG and finished top ten overall in my local USAT Olympic race (first win in a dozen seasons, 6th fastest ride overall), even in Summer and between races now, use it as much as road training for specific goals/maintenance. I've been riding my bike for 35 years and never had a tool like this, data to track, and never entered the season with so much fitness and W/kg. I recommend the desk for a laptop (videos etc) and the mat for the sake of the floor/rug/what have you. If you are a professional, busy, and you like to ride, maybe race...quality training time is worth more than volume. This is it. You will not be disappointed. From a performance POV, have had no problems at all. The app is great esp in Erg mode. And the bike goes on or off for a ride outside with ease. I've moved it once too and set up is simple, even the desk.Date published: 2016-06-22Rated 2 out of 5 by Roland from Disappointed but willing to stick with it I bought this about a month ago. The cassette that comes as standard is "sub-standard" - the chain kept jumping on about 8 out of the 11 sprockets. After reading various forums it was clear that this cassette needed to be replaced, and sure enough, after adding a shimano ultegra cassette these problems went away. Next problem was, in "Ergo" mode, the machine kept going to maximum power, but reading only the maximum wattage I had typed in, i.e., if I typed in 100 watts, the thing gradually and eventually became impossible to push. In all other modes there is no problem. A lot of money for am "iffy" product.Date published: 2016-04-14
