1KICKR 142x12 Thru Axle Adapter is rated out of 5 by 7.Rated 5 out of 5 by markbcote from Works great with my wife's Ruby Disc and my Venge We use the kickr with three main bikes - my Venge rim brake bike (130mm, QR), my wife's Ruby Disc (142mm, 12mm thru axle), and my Venge ViAS Disc (142mm, 12mm thru axle. This adapter kit works great and comes with all the small parts for whatever config you have. I haven't tried it yet on a 135mm disc bike but judging from the length of the skewer it comes it, it'll just be long and stick out the end. Great on Specialized bikes anyway!Date published: 2016-10-22Rated 5 out of 5 by CycleBob from Adapter worked for me! I bought this a few weeks ago after purchasing a new Giant TCR Advanced 2017 road bike. Although I was informed at the time of purchase that this bike has a thru axle, it didn't occur to me until I arrived home that this axle wouldn't work with my KICKR. I called the bike shop and, after some investigation, they said I should be able to get an adapter. So I went on the website and sure enough I found this adapter and a video that clearly showed how to install it. What a relief when it arrived and after installation I was able to put my new bicycle on my very expensive but extremely effective KICKR trainer. Thanks wahoo!!!Date published: 2016-10-14Rated 5 out of 5 by bbalak74 from Works with road bikes with solid axles too! My wife has a Merckx Mourenx69, which has a 142mm solid axle with disc brakes. This kit works perfectly.Date published: 2016-03-16Rated 4 out of 5 by Troy McClure from Does what it's supposed to do... This review is for the KICKR 142x12 Mountain Bike Adapter. Works like it is supposed to - replacing the QR skewer with a thru-axle adapter. Allows me to use my MTB on the trainer instead of my road bike. Probably the most helpful thing Kickr has is the YouTube setup video. Far more useful than the instructions.Date published: 2016-03-14Rated 5 out of 5 by Jtheoa from Great With Through Axel Bought this for my Trek Domane 4.3 disc road bike. Given that this bike has disc brakes and through-Axel....I needed an adapter. Super easy installation, but needed product instructions emailed to me as they cannot be found on the website. Customer service provided this in a very timely manner. Works perfectly once installed.Date published: 2016-01-17Rated 1 out of 5 by Craig from Does not fit Tried this with two bikes, 2015 SantaCruz Highball and a 2015 Norco cross bike also with 142mm axle. The Wahoo adapter did not fit, even after watching the video. The part assumes a smooth opening on the drive-side but both bikes had a threaded opening which made for a loose connection for the skewer bolt. I'd wait for a proper thru-axle or as in my case, use a more compatible bike.Date published: 2015-11-25Rated 5 out of 5 by Jeff from Perfect solution to riding cross bike on Kickr! My racing bike was in the shop and I needed a way to ride my Focus CX bike (with a through axel) on the Kickr. Wahoo was not optimistic it would work, but said they would take it back if it didn't. It worked like a charm! I had to watch the video a few times to understand how it hooks up - it could probably be a little clearer, but the product does what it needs to do. I leave everything on my CX bike and now mostly ride that on the kickr for convenience sake.Date published: 2015-09-25
