1TICKR X Workout Tracker with memory is rated out of 5 by 121.Rated 4 out of 5 by jacque from Convenient Heart Rate tool I use this mostly to track my heart rate while working out. I have an iPhone 5s have no issues with this connecting. I have used an older Wahoo heart rate monitor and feel the Tickr X is better. The only thing improvement I would suggest is being able to choose which workout history is tracked. If I am actively using my phone app to capture my workout data, I would like the ability to turn off the tracking on the monitor itself. Currently, my phone will show that I did 2 workouts at the same time - and both workouts will sync with the Health app on my phone and the other apps I use this data in. I have to manually delete the second workout from these other apps.Date published: 2015-09-18Rated 3 out of 5 by Bill from Love Wahoo - but not so happy with TICKR X First I will say that Wahoo is a great company with great customer service - any time I have a problem with any product I've gotten replacements sent at no cost. I am on my second TICKR X heart rate monitor. The second monitor is now having the same problem as the first. When I go to use it, it will not work - even with replacement batteries unless I do this: After my workout I take the battery out and reinstall the battery before I workout. In other words - i leave the battery out of the HRM when I am not using it. It is not ideal and my worry is that it will just stop working at some point.Date published: 2015-09-18Rated 5 out of 5 by zoreio from My best purchase of the year! I was using my cell phone during all my running and cycling workouts, and when I first learned about TickrX through the DC Rainmaker blog I decided it was worth the shot before considering buying a dedicated watch that would cost at least three times more. Certainly a good decision, because it added perfectly to the use I was already making of my phone during workouts. Cadence measurements, run smoothness and the heart rate readings added a lot to my analysis and helped me improve my running greatly. I never considered the device of much use for spinning lessons, but it also was a great help in that field.Date published: 2015-09-20Rated 3 out of 5 by My_Te from Greater accuracy than original Wahoo HRM Works okay, I hope it lasts longer than the original Wahoo HRM which wend dead just after warranty expired. Easy to use and set up however I have not used it without the iPhone. Not sure 100% how to use it phone free as I think it needs another app to extract the data. Instructions for teather free are lacking and last I need is another app free or otherwise. Looking back o should have bought the lower priced one that does not have the teather free option. It is not difficult to put your iPhone in your pocket when going out for a jog. When working out on treadmill etc. it is just as easy to keep the phone nearby.Date published: 2015-09-19Rated 5 out of 5 by Stauce from Put it on and go I needed a heart rate monitor and saw this one had great reviews. I love the memory feature, it makes tracking so easy. All I have to do is put it on and start my workout, then sync it to the app later when I remember. I also really like that I can set Burn/Burst numbers for heart rate. Originally it was a little hard to figure it out when I was trying to use the app rather than device free mode- it didn't always respond to the double tap to start/stop workout, and might not actually record all of my workout correctly. But other than that I've loved using it, I use it almost everyday.Date published: 2015-09-20Rated 5 out of 5 by Dan5471 from Reliable Paired seamlessly with my Garmin 610. Data appears to be accurate and reliable. So far, no drop outs. I use conducting gel with the strap instead of saliva; works well. Strap is sturdy and comfortable. I haven't tried it as a stand-alone device yet, so cannot comment on that feature. Wahoo App is interesting as it gives you different aspects of your motion. Haven't found a lot of use for that but will keep working with it. Supposed to help with your stride, time of foot contact, etc. Overall, a good device. Had the old Wahoo HR monitor and it became pretty buggy after a while. The Garmin HR monitor I got with the 610 just wore out.Date published: 2016-04-28Rated 4 out of 5 by Jasiest from Running and the TickrX The product is quite comfortable and easy to use. The app on my iPhone works wonderfully. The accuracy of my heart rate is good. However, it stops occasionally while I am running. It seems to be a little behind on the tracking. There would be areas I would slow down and it does not reflect the heart rate decrease until after I have already picked up the pace and increased the heart rate. It's as if it lags behind a few seconds. Otherwise it seems to be better than the last monitor I had.Date published: 2015-10-05Rated 3 out of 5 by Tong from Good, but Slightly Disappointing My initial understanding on this device was that it is workout tracker, given that this is as described on the Wahoo site. And yes, it is as described, but only if used with the Wahoo app. Yes it can be used with your Garmin, Polar and other sports watches connecting via Ant +, but given that it has internal memory and an accelerometer and costs well in access of other HR monitors I expected much more. Like the ability to record distance, running economy metrics and cadence and not just heart rate and duration when used without a watch or the Wahoo app. I don't like to carry my phone when running so lose out on a lot of functionality. Therefore, my verdict is 'good but could be much better'. Let's hope firmware updates to the TICKR X will make this device worth the money, because as it stands, I don't believe it quite gets there.Date published: 2015-11-06
